Designed for students in fully online programs, our online orientation program will enable you to feel confident about your remote learning experience.
Admitted App State Online: Flight Path students will complete a separate orientation experience and should reach out to admissions@onlineprograms.appstate.edu for more information.
Self-Paced Online Orientation Dates
The self-paced orientation is only available to students enrolling in fully online programs.
- The link to the course will be sent to registered students on May 8, 2026 and must be completed by Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
- Summer 1 and Summer 2 students are required to complete the course before starting classes.
Format of Self-Paced Online Orientation
The asynchronous self-paced online orientation uses our virtual classroom platform, AsULearn, to introduce you to how to navigate your online classes. Once the course opens, registered students will be emailed the link to the course via their App State email address.
Time Commitment
The time it takes to complete the course will vary from student to student but was designed to take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. You are able to leave and come back to the course once you have started.
