Whether you are a student in a fully online program or a transfer student who needs to learn how to navigate a new four-year university, our orientation program will allow you to feel confident about your transition.
Admitted App State Online: Flight Path students will complete a separate orientation experience and should reach out to admissions@onlineprograms.appstate.edu for more information.
Summer and Fall 2025 Orientation Dates
Self-Paced Online Orientation
- The self-paced orientation is available to fully online students and transfer students who have previously attended a four-year university.
- The link to the course will be sent to registered students on May 23, 2025 and must be completed by August 8, 2025.
- Summer 1 and Summer 2 students are required to complete the course before starting classes.
- If you are unable to complete the course by the appropriate date, you must attend the on-campus orientation on August 11, 2025.
Self-Paced Online Orientation
The asynchronous self-paced online orientation uses our virtual classroom platform, AsULearn, to introduce you to how to navigate your online classes. Once the course opens, registered students will be emailed the link to the course via their App State email address.
Time Commitment
The time it takes to complete the course will vary from student to student but was designed to take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. You are able to leave and come back to the course once you have started.
